A big furore over comparing Jagan with Mahatma Gandhi

The controversy over the Guntur banner issue, in which, some YSRCP leaders compared Jagan with Mahatma Gandhi, is becoming bigger, day by day. V Hanumantha Rao, the Gandhi family loyalist, today staged a protest demonstration in Secunderabad, over the flexi issue.

One person called Srinivasa Rao, a leader of YSRC party, Guntur division, erected this controversial banner in Guntur town. The lines in the banner go like this – “Thella Doralu palanalo Mahatmudu jailuku, Nalla Dorala palanalo Jagananna jailuku, O Gandhiji nyayam ekkada?”. Comparing Jaganmohan Reddy, the A1 accused of the several economic offences cases, with Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation has led to severe criticism. Several leaders of Congress, Telugu Desam severely condemned this act. Andhra Jyothy paper and it’s news channel, ABN gave a series of stories criticizing the banner. V Hanumantha Rao went a step ahead and staged a demonstration in his own style.

Today morning he went to the Gandhi statue in the MG road, Secunderabad. He planned to cleanse Gandhi statue with milk(Paala abhishekam). For this, he brought altogether a fire engine, full of milk, itself. But, as the road is not wide enough to accommodate the fire engine, the nearby footpath was broken. After that VH cleansed Mahatma Gandhi statue with milk. He also promised that he would rebuild the footpath.
