Rs.10 crore fraud in Dilsukhnagar Saibaba Temple?


Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple, which is being called ‘Rendava Shirdi’, caught in the midst of a controversy. One Mr. Jayaswami, the former chairman of Dilsukhnagar Saibaba Sansthan Trust, which runs the Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple, has alleged that governing body of the present Trust has been misappropriating the funds of the temple. Jayaswami is also the donor of the statue of Saibaba. He gave a written complaint to the Endowments Department of Government of Andhra Pradesh, that a big fraud, to the extent of Rs.10crores, and many irregularities have been taken place in Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple. Responding to the complaint, Endowments Department ordered an enquiry into the allegations. Ramana Murthy, assistant commissioner was appointed to head the enquiry.

Meanwhile, governing body of the present trust denied the allegations. They said that accounts are being maintained very well and there were no anomalies. They alleged that, to become Chairman once again and get political advantage, Jayaswami has been creating all this.

On the other hand, tense situation prevailed at the temple. The supporters of Jayaswami and Trust members clashed in front of the temple. Police entered the scene and took control of the situation. Dilsukhnagar Saibaba temple is the largest saibaba temple in Hyderabad and many devotees consider it as alternative to Shirdi temple. It gets very good revenue in terms of donations.
