Big relief for Chidambaram in 2G case

Finance minister P. Chidambaram today got a big relief from 2G case in the Supreme Court. It dismissed the Janatha Party leader Subrabhmanya Swamy’s petition to make Chidambaram as co-accused in 2G case. A bench comprising Justice GS Singhvi and KS Radhakrishnan held that there was no prime facie against Chidambaram in this case.

On 4th of February this year, a Delhi court dismissed similar case, in which a request was made to make Chidambaram as co-accused of 2G case along with A. Raja, ex-minister of communications. Subrahmanya Swamy appealed against that judgement on 23rd of February, this year.

Swamy termed the latest judgement as bad and said that he would seek a review. On the other hand, Congress party welcomed the verdict.
